PAS—KOL
PAS-KOL is an application that expresses the intersection between memory and music, creating a new experience. PAS-KOL utilizes the technology of Shazam but expands the technical capabilities from simply searching for song titles to opening the camera, recording videos, and documenting the moment and experience. After identifying the song and capturing the video, the user can add a short sentence about that moment. The recorded video, song, and sentence are added to the user's PAS-KOL, which functions as a music player, a memory album, and a journal simultaneously. The words within the sentences the user receives play the role of tags that allow the user to filter their own soundtrack. For example, by clicking on the words "party" and "night," I can create a soundtrack of all my nightlife experiences. Clicking on the words "mom," "radio," "Friday," and "home" would create a playlist of moments from the family tradition of preparing for Friday dinner with the radio playing. Essentially, PAS-KOL offers a way to listen to music through memories and reminisce about experiences, emotions, and moments through music.
